PAINT SHOP PRO TUTORIAL "3-D Fun 3!"

We'll build this image larger than we'll need, almost always a good idea!

Start with a graphic in 16 million colors at 200x200. With green (0,255,0) for the foreground color and black as background click on the "air brush", choose "Size"= 200, "Shape"=round, "Opacity"= 128,"Paper Texture"= none. At 100,100 paint once.
Wander over to "Image">"Resample" set to 200x150, "Maintain aspect ratio" not checked. Now we need to prepare for a feathered selection we'll make in the next step,so.... Pop up to "Image">"Add Borders" and add 3 to all sides.
Click the shape selection tool, choose "Circle" and "Feather"=3. Starting at (53,53) select to (153,153), copy and "Paste as New Image".
Now you should have something like the graphic here, using the "Magic Wand" set to "Match Mode"= "rgb value", "Tolerance"=0 and "Feather"= 3. At (50,25), click to select. Click on the background color "swatch" and choose a highlite color I used a very light green (206,255,206).
Hit delete on your keyboard once. Hurry up to "Image">"Normal Filters">"Blur More", do it again. Let's give the sphere a better lite angle and do something about those edges.Using the "Magic Wand" set to "Match Mode"= "rgb value", "Tolerance"=0 and "Feather"= 1 select the background.
Zip up to "Selections">""Invert", then to "Image">"Rotate" "Left" 45 Degrees. Could this trick can be used on any circle to smooth out the edge? This next bit doesn't show well here but you always need the best image you can get for later manipulation. Goto "Colors">"Adjust">"Brightness/Contrast" set to "%Brightness"= -2, "%Contrast"= 5. This step seems to punch up the highlite. To finish, goto "Image">"Resample" and pick a size. Enjoy!

Now for extra added fun....... To achieve this effect, saunter up to "Images">"Deformations">"Pentagon", then to spark it up, "Colors">"Histogram Functions">"Stretch".
This one uses "Images">"Deformations">"Perspective-Vertical" set to "%Difference"= -50, then "Image">"Rotate" "Right" 90 Degrees. "Colors">"Histogram Functions">"Equalize", what do you think of this one?

Check out those deformations and color adjustments and discover all sorts of fun.
