Start with a graphic in 16 million colors. Put in some text with a dark color. I used New Times Roman Bold at 72 points. Try others. While the text is still selected goto "SELECTIONS"> "MODIFY" > "FEATHER". Set feather at 15. Goto "SELECTIONS"> "SAVE". Save as *.sel. Clear the image or open another. |

Now, Goto "SELECTIONS"> "LOAD" and load the *.sel into the image. Paint the selection the dark color. You should see the text, like this: |

Check this next bit out! While still selected goto "EDIT"> "CLEAR"??!! Do it again if you like. Again? The more you "clear" the wider the carving. |

Use the dropper to pick out a light color from the text as the foreground color, de-select, goto "IMAGE"> "SPECIAL"> "HOT WAX COATING" WOW! Play with this to find all kinds of effects. |
