PAINT SHOP PRO TUTORIAL "OUTLINED TEXT"

1. Start with an image of 16.8 mill colours. Add some text. Do not use antialias! Save the selection, from the menu "SELECTIONS"->"SAVE". Close or clear the window.

2. Create a new image, same size as the last one. Load the selection, "SELECTIONS"->"LOAD". From the drop-down menu "SELECTIONS", select "MODIFY"->"FEATHER". Use a value of about 10. Only use higher values if there is a lot of space between the letters. Now, select a nice BACKGROUND colour. I used red here. Press "DELETE" a couple of times, about four.

3. Now, load the selection again.

4. Make sure you are using the same background colour in the colour palette, as you've got in the background of the image. (I used a white background, so I let the background colour in the colour palette be white too.) From the drop-down menu "SELECTIONS", select "MODIFY"-> "FEATHER". Use a value of about 4. Press delete a couple of times, until it is smooth enough. You've now completed the normal outline tutorial.
