a. Change the Layer Properties

    1) Click Layers then Properties

        On the Layer Properties Window:
        Name = whatever
        Blend Mode = Multiply
        Opacity = 100

   b. Make a Layer Active

    1) On the Layer Window:

        Click the layer with the green ball

   c. Rotate the Image

    1) Click Image then Rotate

        On the Rotate Window:
        Direction = Left
        Degrees = 4
        All Layers = Unchecked

   d. Merge the Layers

1) Click Layers then Merge then Merge Visible

This is an "offset lines" ball. You can use whatever colors you like. Try other layer blend modes between the 2 balls. When finished re-select around the ball slightly smaller then invert the selection and delete to get rid of any jagged edges. Now for the cap ...
