Alain Juge Contribution on Water Rockets Clicks=6555
A Collection of design. Launcher, fins, nozzle, and recovery.
Braided Carbon Sleeve FTC Layup Clicks=6342 09/11/2003: Display the methods used in building a braided carbon sleeve pressure vessel.
Braided Carbon Sleeve Test for FTC Clicks=5648 08/22/2003: Determine how much pressure an FTC can stand when covered with a braided carbon sleeve and epoxy laminate. It held 600psi which is as high as I can go.
Bristol Water Rockets Clicks=5792 Home of the Bristol Sport Cap Release. Passive deployment design, FTC, and launcher.
Bruce's Water Rockets Clicks=8015 Some pictures of various designs.
Casting Convergent-Divergent Nozzles in Epoxy Clicks=5185 02/02/2004 Cast three CD nozzles for performance testing that are as similar to each other (except expansion ratio) as possible. The three ratios will be 2:1, 3:1 and 4:1. These being test pieces, weight is not an issue. Each nozzle will be housed in a 1 1/2 in. steel coupling that will connect to a steel pipe and high pressure tested (up to 600psi) using tapered stoppers (also cast using a 2 part RTV).
CBS Specifications Clicks=5014 FTC Carbon Braided Sleeve (CBS) rocket specifications. These are close to what will be launched this year.
CBS1 Documentation Clicks=5815 CBS1 is a high pressure vessel with an extremely large nozzle
(80% of the rocket diameter). It is an alitude attempt of 400 meters restricted
by the following self-imposed rules.
CD nozzle for FTC Clicks=4595 Using just epoxy, PVC fittings and pipe build a 4:1 convergent/divergent nozzle that fits an FTC while trying to keep the convergent angle at 60 degrees and the divergent at 15 degrees.
Cool Water Rocket Site Clicks=6768 I made this web site because I want to share my experience building water rockets and my love for the hobby. On this site you will find an intoduction to water rockets, a water rocket page, a page on FTC rockets and T nozzle, a water rocket discussion page, a water rocket thoery page, an exploration of space page, an x-prize page, an about me page, a shout out to my friends page, and a water rocket guestbook. Have fun and enjoy looking at my site.
Dutch waterrocket site Clicks=2497 A site for waterrockets
Fin Planforms Clicks=4921 Different fin type with expected dimensions.
Fin set for the CBS High Pressure Rocket Clicks=5527 Purpose: Show the fiberglass layup for the CBS High Pressure Rocket fins. Thrust at launch will be extreme and the last thing I want is for a fin to come off. Also fillet is a minimum and quite smooth.
Inverse Engineering Ignis Project CD Nozzle Clicks=1698 A new site showing the step by step constuction of a CD nozzle by glueing to molded cones together.
Jason's Cool Water Rocket SIte Clicks=4072 Has information on all of my water rockets from a simple 710 ml bottle rocket to a huge 6.5 ft. water rocket. Also has a water rocket therory page and a backslider video.
Kevin Cully's H2O Rockets Clicks=3101 Water rockets detailed out with step by step pictured instructions on making your own water rockets.
Kevin's H2O Rockets Clicks=1865 Water rockets detailed out with step by step pictured instructions on making your own water rockets.
Nose Cones by Jimmy Yawn Clicks=730 Scratch built nose cones made from poster board and then fiberglassed. Very nice finish.
PET Craft Association Japan Clicks=2248 In Japanese but good renderings of 55 steps to build a rocket.
Polyurethane Foams and Resins Clicks=1678 When asked what the difference between epoxy and polyester resins is, I've often said it's sort of like the difference between a dog and a cat; they both have four legs and fur, but they're completely different animals.
Rocketweb Water Rockets Clicks=2712 Videos, launcher, nice camera stuff
T Series Prototype Clicks=1202 T Series Started 8/6/2007. Prototype version.
Techno-challenge.org Clicks=1511 French Water Rocket Site.
The water rocket apogee pages Clicks=1947 You've found the pages of a water rocket enthusiast. An enthusiast who is recently started with this unusual but exciting hobby. My goal is to reach an altitude of +380m with an air pressurized water rocket made out of common PET bottles. Why?, because I believe it will be the world height record for water rocket PET bottles.
The Water-Rocket Explorer Clicks=5530 A very comprehensive project on water rockets, how to build them, how they work, analysis of launches failure and success with many photographs and videos. by John, Alexandre and Gabriel Gwynn
Total Junk Project Clicks=7390 As a side project, using nothing but junk build a high pressure water rocket.
Water Rockets by Yoram Retter Clicks=2553 Home of the SkewerDesign - easy to build, very durable, high performance rocket. Also: Cool launch sequences (real and virtual), "Calibrated Video" height measurement.
What Type of Fin Shape is Best? Clicks=3958 Many people have been told that the elliptical fin shape has the lowest induced drag. While that may be true for full size airplanes, it may not be necessarily true for small model rockets.
